Chin filler is a non-surgical aesthetic procedure performed on patients with a recessed or under-projected chin. After applying a topical anesthetic, the filler was injected into specific points along the bone structure (supraperiosteal plane) to enhance the projection and contour of the chin.
This treatment helps to achieve a more balanced and defined facial profile.
After the procedure, a cold compress is applied for 5–10 minutes. The patient was evaluated, and if no complications were observed, the patient was discharged the same day. Mild swelling or bruising may occur over the following days but typically subsides quickly.
For the first 24 h, touching, massaging, or applying pressure on the treated area. Additionally, avoiding strenuous physical activity, saunas, or exposure to high heat for several days after the procedure is recommended.
Fillers used in clinical settings are not permanent. On average, chin fillers last approximately 12 months, depending on the patient's metabolism, lifestyle, and the specific filler used.
